Especially if cut down into smaller sections. It is very clear and I'm not noticing any issues with distortion while looking through it. That is a problem I've seen when inferior products are used to make these, so the fact that they show an un-distorted view is great, it may also help me in the uses I have planned for these. As to the size, while I could wish to have been able to get larger pieces width and height wise, the thickness is what I was really interested in. I am going to be using these to make transparent, durable templates for my router and bandsaw so I can mass produce various woodworking projects for different seasons. For example cutting wooden reindeer on my bandsaw after tracing them onto a block of wood. The reason the thickness was a factor is that most of the plexi I get offered to try is only ⅛ of an inch thick which is not enough to run my router bit guide wheels around without doubling the patterns. ¼ inch, however, is perfect for that application and gives me twice the material to make other patterns from. As for how badly it scratches, it's going to depend on what you are using it for. For me I am pretty certain that I am going to scratch mine severely as I'll be sticking it onto wood, routing around it and prying it off repeatedly. If you're going to be using it for window replacement or something that doesn't involve repeatedly using sharp things on it, this stuff is really tough feeling and should remain scratch free for a very long time.
