1. PVC/PE Composite Rigid Sheet

1.1 Product Overview

PVC/PE composite rigid sheet is a kind of multi-layer co-extruded polymeric packaging material, composed of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) substrate and polyethylene (PE) functional layer through lamination or co-extrusion technology. Adopting food and pharmaceutical grade raw materials, this rigid sheet features uniform thickness, high transparency and smooth surface without impurities, which complies with international packaging safety standards such as FDA and EU food contact regulations. It is a cost-effective general barrier packaging hard sheet widely applied in conventional pharmaceutical solid preparations, daily chemical products and general industrial packaging fields.

1.2 Material Structure & Core Characteristics

The PVC layer serves as the structural support layer, providing excellent mechanical rigidity, dimensional stability and superior thermoformability. It ensures excellent moldability during blister forming, enabling neat and consistent blister cavity shapes. The PE layer acts as the sealing and protective functional layer, possessing good heat-sealing compatibility with aluminum foil and composite sealing films. In addition, the PE layer effectively improves the chemical corrosion resistance and moisture resistance of the sheet, avoiding the brittle aging of single-layer PVC in conventional storage environments.
This composite sheet has moderate water vapor and oxygen barrier properties, good toughness and tensile strength. It is resistant to low-temperature cracking, easy to cut, print and deep process. Compared with single-layer PVC sheet, it significantly optimizes sealing performance and surface chemical stability while maintaining cost advantages.

1.3 Main Applications

It is mainly used for blister packaging of common oral tablets, capsules, health care products, as well as the outer packaging of daily chemicals, small hardware and general consumer goods. It is suitable for products with conventional shelf-life requirements and no ultra-high barrier protection demand.
